In the afternoon, there was an excellent Pridie memorial lecture given by Rob Grimer who looked back at some of Ken Pridie’s work and gave us an entertaining and instructive account of his bone tumour work.
There were 15 scientific papers. The prize for the best paper went to Amir Khan for his excellent presentation from Bristol, on the influence of surgical approach on femoral head perfusion during hip resurfacing. Caroline Edwards won the Xray quiz.
Tony Ratliff and Robert Robins were among Senior members present.
The evening was rounded off with an excellent dinner at the Southgate Hotel. 57 people stayed over for the meal which made a very sociable and pleasant end to a very good meeting ! Our thanks go to Marie Carey, secretary to Daniel Chan, put a huge amount of work into making this meeting such a success.
